When you run the network setup wizard, it defaults the windows firewall to on. You need to manually configure the firewall, or if you have another one, turn the windows one off. The default for windows firewall is set to high to prevent hacker attacks, but also prevents the network from connecting that you just set up.....
When you ran setup on one computer, it turned on the firewall, probably why you see the files on one computer and not the other, so turn the firewall off on both pc's, and run the setup wizard again.

1. Run wizard on computer, turn off firewall, restart pc.
2. Run wizard on second computer, turn off firewall, restart pc.

You should now be able to connect....
Good luck, hope this works for ya.

Check the following:

Make sure that your firewall is properly configured on both ends.
Make sure that the work group names are the same on both ends
Make sure that the user accounts on both computers are the same and have the same passwords.

Though you indicated that you've logged in as Admin on both computers, Do make sure that both accounts are the same name and password. Then once that's ruled out check the workgroup and firewall settings.

To change work group settings right-click My Computer go to properties and there will be a tab for Computer Name. You'll then find a Change Icon.

Changing firewall settings right-click My Network Places and go to properties. On the upper right you'll likely see change firewall settings link. Opening this will bring you to a box with tabs including exceptions. Check to see if file/print sharing is enabled. If so, try disabling the firewall to see if it will change anything.
