Are you referring to property damage or emotional & financial damage? By your notation of please source I suspect you don't agree damage was done?

Aside from the obvious damages done to the WTC & surrounding buildings, the Pentagon , & the four aircraft destroyed , there were over three thousand lives ended on that day.

This caused untold emotional & financial damage to the families involved, & will continue to do so for many years, as children grow up without a parent , spouses try to rebuild their lives, & companies try to regroup from the financial losses incurred that day.

Additionally this country lost a bit of its innocence, & many personal freedoms will never be quite the same as security measures are put in place, & remnants of fear persist through the years.
