Well you need to tell him straight up that you don't love him anymore or at all. You need to get straight to the point or he wont get it. But even then, it is VERY hard being friend's with ex's because past emotions and feelings ALWAYS get in the way. So its not really worth your time.

Get lost for about two weeks. Your not available, don't answer your phone. Then come back and hope he moved on, or if he still insists just tell him the truth.
