The Thing is my favorite movie out of all of his. You can out how many films he made at the site below.

I can't tell you just how many he has made, but he has made several.

As far as my favorite, that would have to be Big Trouble in Little China. It's a kung-fu movie spoof with Kurt Russel making fun of his role as Snake Pliskin in Escape from New York. The movie is hilarious.

Interesting bit of trivia about Carpenter: He composes the music for his movies.

He made Halloween and Halloween 2, and a much later one - Halloween 2000, I think.

His best film is "Assault On Precinct 13" ... much better than the recent remake and famous because the assault is actually upon Precinct 9

I think my favourite horror of his is Halloween and my favourite comedy/horror was Big trouble in Little China. I don't know how many films he made probably lots.

the article is great, in spite of the undeniable fact that my fashionable has constantly been Halloween. i like the way Halloween makes use of suspense and diffused photos of the killer to scare the objective audience. @Rodrigo: Frank Darabont made The Mist. John wood worker had no longer something to do with that one.
