my mom not fair?

well my mom says that i cant go to the movies by myself. but when my brother was my age he could. all my friends can go to the movies without a shaperon/parent and im going to be the part pooper. what should i do.

Prove to her that you are responsible.. Tell her that everyone else can go so that means that she is obvously over reacting. Also, find out why she isnt letting you go. Like if she is just scared becasue of being there with out a parent, then just tell her that the movies is safe because you get in there and sit down, and no one approaches you while your watching a movie, and it is safe because nothing can happen to you. there are ppl that work there the whole time so its fine to go with out a parent.

Well boys are less likely to be the target of a sexual predator. Outside a movie theater is an easy place for someone to pull you into a car or van, so your mom is somewhat just in that department. Tell your mom you are meeting up with a group of friends. Try having some of those friends over to let your mom get to know them,that way she can decide whether or not they are a responsible group. Try to tell her that there is safety in numbers and if you own a cell phone you can tell her you will take it with you to keep in contact.

it depends also on the crime level in your hometown.
your mom is just affraid for you, she doesnt want anything to happen to you. and honestly it is dangerous for a teenage girl alone to go to the movies or somewhere where you can be an easy target.
find somebody to go with.
(you might ask your mom to get you pepper spray so she would feel safer for you).
