how do i take off the bad things on my computer?

my computer is going VERY VERY VERY slow and i wanna take some things off... how do i do that???

i think you have viruses. Get some antivirus walls or something. and take stuff off by deleting files.

ok lets be more specific ok? first we don't know what bad things are there but for sure they are crap right? hehe anyway try installing anti virus softwares i prefer AVG anti virus, then second is install a Spyware, adware removal prog. use spybot search n destroy.

and also some things that make your pc slow is the processes it uses. so check only the programs you want your pc to do upon boot. so here is the instruction to access it.

1. click start then run type in msconfig
2. at the msconfig locate click the startup
3. uncheck the necessary files you don't want your pc to process
4. then click apply and ok then restart

another one to consider is storage of your hardrive C:/
check whether you have the appropriate and enough space or free space for your pc to function at a optimum level.
1. click in my computer then locate your hardrive (mark with a icon with a box appearance usually named C:)
2. then right click it. then you'll see how much free space you have.
3. delete some files that you don't use. 1gig should be enough for your pc to function properly.

then lastly fun the disk defragmenter

the purpose of disk defragmenter is to rearrange your datas on your hardrive why to maximize speed.

1. click start then all programs
2. then accessories then system tools
3. run it then their thats about it all.

Deleting files doesn't make your computer go faster.

You can go to Run from Start and type msconfig then remove all the check program on the Startup list.

Download Spy Bots Search and Destroy and let that scans the whole system.

Finally, defrag your harddrive and that should make your system finally faster.

Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, remove all things you don't use any more.

Look in the system tray bottom right for autostarting programs, most of them will have a preference so they only start on request.

Run AdAware and Spybot S&D to remove any uninvited guests.
