In general I don't see what the purpose would be in lifting your belly. It's not like that's going to move it anywhere helpful. The only thing I can see you'd have to do that for would be if you were trying to get by a chair and were sort of lifting/pushing your belly in so you could ease past, or washing your large belly and had to reach the underside, or if you were one of the men who seem to like to wear their pants below a belly overhang. Then you might want to lift your belly with one hand while you fastened your pants with the other. But really, the belt/waistband below the belly is a bad idea. If you can get pants that will fit your belly, I'd try that instead. Unless it's uncomfortable. Then just do what you need to do.

But do bear in mind that everyone overweight does NOT have a belly that can be "lifted" or really extends in some way that you could move it. You have to be fairly overweight or have all of your excess weight concentrated in your belly in order to have that situation.

I think if you have to lift your belly than that is more than just being overweight. That's some serious stuff. I bet though because when I was pregnant my belly was always in the way and I couldnt shave my legs or put on my shoes. It was miserable!

It depends on how much over weight you are talking about ...but if you are talking about human reproduction, it may depend on how big you stomach is ...Or think about it even tying your shoe's putting your sock's on what a problem that could be..I guess you could use a wheel barrel to go on walks .lol
