Simple answer....YES! Cabrera is a top 10 talent and reported to spring training in the best shape he ever has. That means he wants to get even better and he is still a kid (turns 24 in a month). Zimmerman(turns 23 this year) is a very solid 3rd sacker also but he will suffer from the Soriano leaving effect. Now teams only have to deal with him so he wont get the pitches this year that he seen last year. On batting average alone you gain huge numbers,.339 for Cabrera to .287 for Zimmerman, all the other numbers are pretty close but Cabrera has a slight edge every category except SB where Zimmerman stole 2 more.Lidge had an issue last season with arm angle, has appeared to correct the problem this spring and in case everyone isnt aware he has more strikeouts from a closer since 2004 than anyone! (52 more to be exact). Jenks has done it for basically 1 year and had an ERA of over 4 plus his mechanics are horrible and will eventually lead to arm problems (maybe even this year). Zimmerman and Jenks are very good (I would draft both myself)...not trying to take anything away from either but when setting a fantasy roster you should go with the more proven guys when the numbers are close so in this case you should make the deal.

Lets start with the closers. Lidge is great for strike outs but he blew alot of save oppertunities last year and Jenks although having 41 saves didnt look so good towards the end of the year. But Cabrera for Zimmerman is a no brainer. Cabrera's upside alone is worth the trade. Even if Lidge gets replaced somewhere along the road releivers seem to come out of the wood work during the season.

Absolutely...the chance to grab a top ten player is rare and closers are a dime a dozen. There will probably be about 5 ones available during the season anyway so never sweat trading a closer unless it is Mo or maybe Hoffman. That being said Zimmerman for Cabrera is the equivalent of getting Chase Utley for Dan Uggla. Grab Cabrera and laugh at the team that gave him up, then add Wheeler to your bench if you are afraid Lidge will lose his job.

Yes, asap! I really like Zimmerman, had him last year and this year too. But I'd drop him for Cabrera in a heart beat. Cabrera is young and a top performer for a few years now. Zim while young too only has one good year under his belt. He doesn't any protection this year either. Jenks has already been hurt though not too bad. Lidge will rebound this year and is considered a sleeper in many posts.

It depends on your roster honestly. At face value, if this trade were my two keepers for his two keepers I would do it. However, if you already have plenty of bats you will probably be better off keeping Jenks. Even though Cabrera is an improvement over Zimmerman, you would be taking a huge gamble on your saves in order to get about 20 RBIs, 15 or so runs, and about 30 points in batting average. If you are good for closers do this deal in a second.

No, BOBBY JENKS is too good of a closer. Miguel is a solid player, but Bobby is much more consistant than Brad Lidge. Don't get me wrong, when Lidge pitches good, he's unhittable, he just doesn't pitch that good anymore. He's inconsistant, while jenks on the other hand is always on top of his game. 99 MPH fastball always gets 'em.
