It depends on what is causing it. Mine is from heel spurs and Planter Fascitis (which causes heel spurs.) Exercises to stretch your Planter Tendon helps. Alternate ice and heat to your feet each evening. Stand on a stair and let your heel drop down. Do that about 50 times a couple times a day. (It only takes a couple minutes.) Additionally, a heel lift inside your shoe will help with Planter Fascitis by relaxing the tendon. Buy running shoes that have a heel that is higher than the toe instead of walking shoes that are flat. Anti-inflammatory medications such as aleve, ibubrofen, etc work very well. There are pressure points on your feet that can ease the discomfort. You can find them by experimentation like I did. If you have developed heel spurs, there are cheap foam heel lifts that have a donut hole in the center where the spur is. I pay about 3.00 each for mine. They have to be replaced every few weeks. That is some of the remedies I have found. I hope it helps. Foot pain can really be incapacitating.

Sore feet are a sign that there are internal problems. You need to alter your diet to accommodate a more kind level of treatment of yourself. I would hazard a guess that you tend to be in a job that makes a lot of demands on your time and, that you stand for long periods. If not, then still, you need to take better care of your internal self. Be more kind to yourself and use ginger foot baths.
Get a fresh ginger root, grate it finely into a 4 X 4 inch, doubled piece of cheesecloth. Tie it to create a small bag about the size of a baseball. Squeeze the juice of the ginger into a large pot containing 8 cups of warm water. Place the cheesecloth bag into the water and bring the water to a boil. (You can use this for 3 or four days before it loses it's potency at which time you'll need to grate more ginger). Pour the water into a large container that you can put your feet in comfortably. Soak your feet in the solution as warm as you can stand it. This will help to increase the circulation in the feet but you need to alter your diet to more whole grains and fresh veggies.
Stay away from refined sugar, flour, meats, and dairy. You should find dramatic improvement in 3 to 4 days. I know how awful foot problems can be, they affect everything that we do in life. I wish you the best, and hope this helps you as it helped me. Blessings to you!

Soak in hot water until it gets warm, then repeat. Use one of those foot scrubbers on the souls of your feet. Dry them then message them with a moisturizing lotion. They should feel much better for weeks.
