or anything else in the sweetbread family?? I would love to know what it is like. I would never eat it I dont think.

Mom use to scramble sweetbreads with eggs. I would eat it because it wasn't very often and I didn't want to hurt her feelings. It's hard to describe....try to imagine chicken gizzard and chicken liver mixed together...

When I was a kid, we used to buy a goat, and kill it in the back yard. The best meat you could ever have. My grandma would get the blood and make, like hamburger out of it. I ate it then, I don't think I could eat it now tho. Cow brains was a delicacy, my parents mixed them w/scrambled eggs. My favorite will always be the kidneys. I haven't had any of these foods for about 26-30 yrs ago. Don't think I could eat organs again tho.

Yes. Most people and nearly all Brits in the post depression days have eaten all the organ meats. tripe, chittlins etc. That means people 50 years old or older. Things start lookin mighty tasty when you're hungry. Most people today in the developed countries have never been hungry.

I never would, but my father really enjoyed fried calf brains. I think that is how mom fixed them, mixed with scrambled eggs I think. Anyway, none of the rest of our family would eat it.

English people eat brains or Europeans in general, but that is how you can get mad cows disease because the disease is located in the brain. But it doesn't sound appetizing.
