I would say that the best player is the sister and the worst player is the son- who can both be the same age. OR the best player could be the son and the worst player be the daugthter because the son is not the sister of the worst player (the daughter).

The sister is the best player while the worst player is the son.
The sister could be the same age as the son since Mr. Smith could be way older than his sister.
And Mr. Smith's sister is not the sister of his son.

There are many logically possible answers to this question, but for me this may be the most accepted (though you have not given enough information):
Best player is of course Mr. smith since he way older than his kids, and the worst player is his sister which is logical since it is possible that they are twins. Following you statement that the best player is not the sister of the worst player because Mr.smith is her brother.

Mr. Smith is the best player and the sister is the worst player.
He is not the sister of the worst player.. he is the brother.
They are the same age because they are twins!
The children are noted as his son and his daughter, but not siblings to each other.

The best is Mr Smith's daughter. The worst is Mr Smith's sister. Because, his daughter and his sister share a niece-and-aunt relationship, so they are definitely not sisters. Also, they could be of the same age.

Mr. Smith and his sister are twins
Mr. Smith's son and Mr. Smith's daughter are also twins.
All four played a match
There are two probable outcomes of the match
First outcome could be:
Best player=Mr. Smith; Worst player= sister of Mr. Smith
Second outcome could be:
Best player= son of Mr. Smith ;Worst player=daughter of Mr. Smith

You might be missing a piece of information. The best player could be the father. He is not the sister of any of the others. His sister could be the worst player. They could be fraternal twins.
Or, the best player could be the son. He's not the sister of any of the others. His sister would then be the worst player. They could be fraternal twins also.

Mr. Smith's sister is the best player, and the worst player is Mr. Smith's son. The mother of Mr. Smith (Granny Smith......heh heh) had Mr. Smith's sister when Mr. Smith's wife had Mr. Smith's son. The two are the same age, but not siblings.
