isnt a grizly bear bigger then a polar bear...considering that a grizly can get up to 14 feet tall and over 1000 pounds. and a polar can get up to 12 feet tall and only 800 pounds! just wondering..if im wrong please tell me.

It depends. According to Wikipedia (http://wikipedia.org), "Grizzly bears reach weights of 180–680 kilograms (400–1,500 pounds)", whereas with polar bears, "Most adult males weigh 300-600 kg (660-1320 lb)" and females are about half the size of the males.
So, a small grizzly bear is smaller than a small polar bear, but it looks like a large grizzly bear can beat out a large polar bear sometimes.

GRIZZLY BEAR all the way!
Grizzly bears get bigger, but it would depend on the age of the two bears considered. A younger grizzly would be smaller than an old Polar, so some people could eazily get confused. There isn't a huge size difference in the two like there would between the brown bear and the Grizzly.

Polar bears are the biggest bear.
Polar Bears: Males are 8 to 11 feet long and weigh 500 to 1,100 pounds but can reach as much as 1,500 pounds. Females are smaller, measuring 6 to 8 feet long, and weigh from 350 to 600 pounds, occasionally reaching 700 pounds.
Grizzly Bears: Male: 350 - 975 lbs.; Female: 175 - 450 lbs

polar bears are the biggest bear in the bear species... this question was on "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" and POLAR bear was the biggest!!!
