I have severe tenderness in my breasts but only on my nipples. They are so sore that the lightest touch or anything hurts so bad. Its almost like a bad sunburn but sore to the touch. It has been going on for weeks. I am not pregnant. Took a test today.

well you couldnt be having some sort of a hormonal change.
I have PCOS too. I usually get soar niiples with prgnancy, fertility drugs, hormonal changes getting my period soon.
If you plan on having chidlren I suggest you see a RE REproductive endocrinologists. You will need to regualte a period. Your dr will most likely induce a period with prometrium or provera.
You may want to do a digital hpt. They are more accurate. takes the guess work out of it.
The other thing is you may need a mammo gram.

YOU MAY HAVE DRYNESS OF NIPPLES AND THAT MAY BE THE ISSUE ..OTHER SKIN MAY BE DRY AS WELL..TRY PUTTING SOME CREAM ON YOUR BREAST AND /OR NIPPLES..BUT, TOO PAINFUL SEE A DOCTOR ..IT COULD BE
PERIOD RELATED AND /OR HORMONAL RELATED TOO!

it could be from not having your period, maybe it is coming and is causing more pain then usual?

It could be Growing pains or PMS.
