help my computer is screwed if my dad finds out im in deep trouble!?

Question

the history icon is gone from the top of the internet page and i need to get it back fast!!!! also all my bookmarks are gone is there any way to get it back!!!???

Right click on the grey area where all of the other icons are, a drop down list of Standard Buttons, Address Bar, Links, Lock the Toolbars, and Customize should apear. Click on Customize. A window pops up that shows what icons you have there already and what ones are available. Just find the history one and click Add to move it back.

As for the bookmarks the only suggestion I have is to check the Recycle Bin if you deleted them. If they're there, you can restore them. If they arent there then I dont know what would have made them go away and you're probably out of luck.

i'm not a computer genius but i do know that not telling the whole entire truth is the same thing as lying.
you should find a moment to kid with you dad and be like:
"hey dad, i had this weird dream that my computer broke and the history icon......."
and just see what he says. ask him what he would do if that happend and then shoot right to it. since you are a girl you can fake right after you say the "news" and run to the bathroom. that will give him time to think.

One simple easy step is to go to start >all programs> accesories>system tools> system restore then select restore computer to an earlier time then choose a date that u know everyhting was there. and select it. it will do the restaore system will have to restart and hopefully this will fix your problem, if not then still not that big of a issue ,but few more steps, try this first its fast safe and easy if it doesnt help you can choose to undo the restore. .

Did you delect those item.Try to look to recycle bin and see those missing item still there if there then reinstall them.
