artificially enhance their face and body like get a nose job or eyebrows plucked when a lot of the times they looked better or more uniquely beautiful before getting it done?

That's a good question..lol...well they probably feel that they arent good-looking or uniquely beautiful so they go out and get stuff changed about them until they can look in the mirror and be satisfied with what they see...personally though you were meant to be a certain way so just embrace it and be happy with who you are...there is always someone who absolutely adores you in the world, you just have to search for them

Because someone told them they would look better if they got a nose job or their eyebrows plucked. Sometimes how attractive you are affects how successful you become. So if a person feels a certain feature they have does not fit what is beautiful they go and change it so they can become part of something. Sometimes people change themselves because someone they love told them they were ugly when they really were not. There was a girl on Oprah that was overweight and her father did not love her because of her weight. So the girl went and got gastric bypass surgery so her dad can love her. It was really sad to hear him say that he didn't love her because of her weight, but there are a lot of people in the world who are mean and would say anything to hurt others to make themselves feel good.

Gee I don't know. I shape my eyebrows and I wear a little bare minerals makeup and a tinge of pink for the cheeks. Lipstick gives my sallow skin some color. I guess it makes me feel better. I remember my brother telling me why don't I go and put on my makeup so I got a complex about being natural.
I won't go under the knife. I don't do pain.

Some could be tradition in the families...mom has done so do the girls like a ritual.
Some do it because Janey, Sally, and Dawn do it....keep up with the Jones.
Some just do it because they THINK it makes them look glamorous--NOT!

because some people are freaks like Michael Jackson he looked alot better when he was a boy but some people have alot of money and no where to spend so i guess they think it is fancy who knows

probably because they feel insecure about themselves and want to be more like the models (who have been airbrushed) in magazines and other forms of advertising
