"With the exception of Washington Note and Financial Times, the mainstream media decided not to report Zbigniew Brzezinski’s comments that shatter the United Stator ruling class. Auditioned on February 1st, 2007 by the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, the former National Security Adviser read a statement the terms of which had been carefully chosen.

He indicated that : " a plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran involves Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks, followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure, then by some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the US blamed on Iran, culminating in a ‘defensive’ US military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan".

As you must have noticed: Mr Brzezinski evoked the Bush administration plausible organization of an attack in the United States, and the possibility of holding Iran wrongly responsible for it.

In Washington the analysts hesitate between two interpretations of this statement. For certain officials, the former National Security Adviser tried to beat the neoconservatives to it and to cast doubt in advance on any circumstance which would lead to the war. For others, Mr Brzezinski wanted, in addition, to suggest that in case of collision with the war partisans, he could reopen the September 11th file. In any case, Thierry Meyssan’s hypothesis - According to which the September 11th attacks would have been perpetrated by a Military-Industrial Complex faction to provoke the Afghanistan and Iraq wars - Leaves suddenly the taboo domain to be discussed publicly by Washington elites.

For two years, 2004 and 2005, America was forced to listen to the left beat the drums for war with Syria.

That's all the left talked about, that Bush was gonna invade Syria next.

Now that the left was proven wrong about Syria, they now beat the drums for war with Iran.

Just how many times does Bush have to publicly say, America has no plans on attacking Iran, before the left finally starts listening?

By next summer, the left will be saying Bush wants to invade France.

Or maybe they will bring back their Military Draft lies like they used before the 2006 election.

Does anyone wonder, if the lefts fasination with conspiracy theories about evil forces in America, carrying out attacks against Americans, inside America to further their foreign policy goals......

Has its roots in the fact that the only known Plan to attack American citizens to justify a foreign military intervention.....

Was planned by the left and the Democrat party ?

Yes, Operation Northwoods was a Democrat Plan to attack Americans to justify an invasion of Cuba.

this is too much like World War I. We are accusing the Iranian government of supplying the Iraqi guerrilla fighters with weapons when it may just be an Iranian terrorist group. Yeah, the president of Iran is ignorant and I think trying to draw us in to conflict, but we are waist high in Iraq right now and war with Iran too would be devastating to our already strung out troops and lack of support from other countries. Learn from the past!

that's in simple terms an attractive question in case you savor dying and destruction on a grand scale and have no thought how which will impact you. after all, that's puzzling to think of of one in all those situation as they are all preposterous. Take yours case in point. each and every individual yet Israel could hit the incorrect u . s . a . with the help of mistake. No arab u . s . a . needs an excuse like that to attack Israel. NATO worldwide places at the instant are not coming to anybody's help, as we are able to work out at present. There are some extra available, constrained chain reaction activities i'm able to think of of, yet i do no longer choose to gasoline your fevered and perverse mind's eye.

This scenario is not only plausible, but likely if not guranteed.

The site may be down, again, but if it's up, read the article. it clearly defines the Bush Administration.

It is very possible. israel will probably save the world by launching a preemptive strike against Iran.

Considering it comes from a 9/11 conspiracy whackjob site, I don't find that exact scenario plausible.

There are 1001 other "US is dumb enough to attack Iran" scenarios that I *do* find plausible, though.
