Kill them all and let God sort them out.
In answer to your question, there are NOT enough Iraq lives in existence to be equal to 1 American's life.

You're Damn Right!!! The most disgusting thing about this Whole Damn mess is that all the damn politicians are thinking about are their own sorry political positions. And the rest of us don't count for much more than canon fodder unless we vote for them! They are all, defeatocrat, and republican alike playing us for the sake of their own big money careers, and the welfare 0f the people be damned! If I had my druthers, I would have done pretty much what bush and rumsfield did at first, but I would have immediatley locked down all borders, to hell with what syria and iran think, and i would have begun a systematic search of every village, city, mosque, gov't building left standing, etc. and declared martial law untill I was convinced that there was no longer any threat from anywhere. Then we talk about establishing a civilian gov"t again. NO American life should be considered expendable because that means we are all expendable!

You can't put a number on something like that. No, I do not believe that one American life is worth that much. What about soldiers of other countries? Are their lives not worth as much as ours? If killing three terrorists takes 30 soldiers on our side, so be it. and if the death toll hasn't reached 200 yet in how many years? 5? Then yes, we're doing amazing.

I CAN understand the sentiment behind this if it was your son. My dad's old company (thankfully he's not in it now) got POUNDED in Iraq. I would be furious and would probably feel along the same lines as you, but 'one American life' isn't just your son, and it isn't just my dad. You have to look at the issue, and present it without throwing personal feelings into it.

Depends on the situation. Looking at World War II, it was good to have 2-3 enemies dead for every American. Nowadays I'd probably say around 35-55 dead for even my own sons life (although if it was my son, yes I would say the whole country could go down)

I am stunned by the amount of hate pouring out against this "enemy". Unseen, unknown, nowhere and everywhere at once. Has it dawned on people we invaded their country, many innocent people are being killed in all the killing. I would rather see no more dead Americans, Iraqis, women, children or goats. Get the heck out of Iraq already. The longer we are there the more dead American soldiers, and in the end it will all be for naught. Iraq will never become a democracy.

All of them who hate Americans and are not thankful that we eliminated that dictator for them.

It is extremely tough to determine who is our friend and who is our enemy there, because we've been backstabbed by them in the past. I totally agree with you that they are all equally guilty in crimes against America.

that depends on whether we we actually eliminating someone that was a real threat to the USA or instead just someone that has been labeled as such for political reasons

If someone were sending your son to his death , would you try to impeach that person or something worse??? The person in that country may only be defending himself against the person who put your son in harms way.

The last time I heard the death toll from the Corps was roughly 1:78, which is pretty damn good.
