you don't have to have a degree to be a phlebotomist. you can take the course at a community college usually in one semester also there are technical schools that are for phlebotomy so you can get registered. good luck it can be a very rewarding job. I have been a phlebotomist for 6 months and love it!

Most community colleges can get you certified in two years with an Associates' degree.

I'd say to be safe get a bacholar's or (I would get a) PhD
