Format the hard drive. If you are really concerned you can run a program like Norton Wipedisk.

for a totally clean sweep off, go into ms-dos mode and type f*disk

then format/c

it should be wiped clean. just install the operating system again and give pc to your buyer.

Its pretty hard to do if you dont know much about computers. I would just take it to a store like compusa and tell them to clean it and to make a backup for yourself.
