Actually, Mike and angelzwin are right. You will NEVER be able to stop the starvation in this world. It's a very sad and frustrating problem that sadly, seems to have no solution. I have left Africa where I saw very, very sad things through starvation. Where I am now, I am very aware of the suffering I have left behind, But I am trying to help less fortunate people with food here, because I can.
I teach them how to make fancier meals still with the basics and I collect and distribute whatever extra food people have, to the ones who have little or nothing. I cannot help the ones I left behind and that hurts, but I can do something here. If you helped feed just one poor family today, then you have saved a life!

I think a heart attack is the number 1 killer of people. How can we stop poverty, misery, and starvation? we can't(even if we try). We need to work, so when we generate funds we can buy needs and wants from somebody else. Some wastes can be recycled, others discarded. Food is a complex subject. May I suggest @ this time that "salt" is a killer, and although the same(salt) gives food very good taste, we don't need it in our daily lives. Use condiments instead.

you sound like my mother when I was child eat your supper there are thousand of children starving in Africa. One has nothing to do with the other. And the sad fact is someone dies every 5 seconds and until the rich countries are willing to share with poor countries, and by that I do not mean money I mean information and skills to earn a living. Haven't you ever heard give a man a fish you feed him a meal teach a man to fish and you feed him for life.
