the first thing i would do is bring all our troops home from iraq (not afghanistan)
goal over next 4 years:
capture osama bin laden
equalize monies going into poor and wealthy school districts
develop and equal and national health care plan
low income taxes
investigate all possible shady deals among members of all three branches of the federal government
hold conferences to debate the legalization of certain drugs
imporve our homeland security plan
situation in iraq----withdraw all troops immediately. leave the iraqui people to defend themselves,
the war on terror will be top priority in lieu of threats with iran, china, and north korea
every american would have the same health plan (paid for by the states) that would provide equal health coverage for the rich and poor.

The first thing I would do is to acquaint the citizens of this wonderful country about the travesty set on us when the un-federal Federal Reserve was given the control of our finances on Dec. 23, 1913.
I would put in motion what President John F. Kennedy tried before his death. He printed up 'Silver Certificates' that were printed by our Government for the U.S. and not the Federal Reserve (the banking industry).
After his death the Federal Reserve had them removed from circulation. They can still be seen by collectors and investors.
The fact that he was able to do it legally proves that phasing out the Federal Reserve, into our own Treasury Dept. is not unattainable. (A monumental task)
This would reach far beyond my possible 2 terms in office
to finalize the complete transition.
Most of my first 4 years would be consumed by trying to bring the people of this wonderful country into a state of patriotism... a national loyalty, this would be my top priority. I would definitely be for the whole of our country...a theme many previous presidents didn't identify with.
Our politicians are not pulling this country together. This requires changes in the way our government works.
Unlike now, when our government doesn't listen to the very people that put them in office, we would have a country that would now have the power of the people in unity to demand
that actions take place. It will take a "united country".
I would, almost subliminally, move troops out of the middle of the fighting to the outer edges or to the boarders of Iraq to stop the flow of weapons and fighters that try to cross into the fighting. I would demand that all that is necessary to keep the boarders closed not open to foreign invaders is on the table.
Have the Suni's and Shiia find an end to their fighting what ever way they can. But, except for humanity supplies and the essentials, that's all they would get until they finalize a way to end the fighting.
I think there would be a greater possibility for a truce or at least a better understanding when neither of them are able to fight anymore.
The war on terror would go hand in hand with the country pulling together and becoming more aware of the love for their country.
Health care costs is a matter of putting it all in perspective. I would want and get a damn good reason for an 8% increase when the rate of inflation only went up about 3.3%.
The health care providers (the Conglomerates) are in need of some reform, not just for fiduciary responsibility to their investors, but also for the needs of the patients as well.
The bottom line is that I strongly think that this country needs a jolt and the government needs to get its' act together but they won't do it unless we demand it. We've been very successful before.
We need to put people in our government's that are good
for the people that they represent and not for reasons that are
just personal in nature
Our country needs a boot and it requires enormous personal conviction. We can't just be taking things for granted, we have to get involved or it's your kid's and grandkid's that are really going to be hurting.

Reduce the deficit, create nationalized health care and federalized day care programs.
Make education the number one priority, but get away from standardized testing and move toward holistic based assessment.
I would reduce our presence in Iraq, work with the EU and UN to create a solution that is feasible and works for Iraq not for the US interests.
I would stop thinking about the war on terror like we thought about the Cold War and start some real out of the box thinking.
I would raise minimum wage and increase the tax burden on the top 1-2%.
Focus the nation on creating cheap, worthwhile public transit systems.

I would use our own oil in Alaska,Florida and perhaps Antarctica and sell the oil to the world.
I would use the money that was produced from the oil and invest it in a alternate fuel source.(alcohol) South America is using it, so can we!!
I would pay off the national debt from the oil money.
I would get rid of Spanish in high school and college. I would make it illegal to teach Spanish to anyone.
I would make it illegal to teach English to Spanish speaking people.
Why you ask? To get rid of the illegal immigrant problem. If we dont understand them then we cant hire than/treat them for free at hospitals.
If I was presiddent I would reduce my salary to 45,000 a year
If I was president I wouldn't have 10 body guards.
If i was president I would stop giving our money away to other countries.
If I was president I would put a stop to spending 100 million dollars a year in renovating the white house with gold plated toilet seats and other things of that nature.( useless crap)
If I was president I would change the world...
Seriously if some one ran for president and said all that he would die the next day. Car accident or whatever he would be dead.

HEY, great question....I congratulate you..What I would do....???
MMM...I would change some of the foreigh policies....right after
...get the economy going...internally...then healthcare, education would be on my agenda...and then foreign investing...and something that is very important...get the US armed forces out of IRAQ ASAP...why....because this game was played in Latin America back in the 80's and it did not work out...as the administration planned out back then...making money At the cost of innocent lives has a negative outcome in the long run...and the Bush administration should know that by now...but I would change a lot of people in my admin....What should I make an enemy If I can easily make a friend...(country wise)

I would first present a bill to Congress to get our troops out of Iraq. I would move 50,000 of them into Afghanistan, and I would divide Iraq into the North (the Kurds) the Middle(the Shiites) and the South(the Sunnis). Forget about oil distribution. Let them fight it out.
Then I would focus on getting the USA off of the Middle East Oil. I would reward American producers, and provide subsides for farmers who raised corn and other crops for bio-fuels. I would subsidize "green construction."
I would raise the Pell Grant amount by about $5000 a semester.
I would concentrate on social security for our baby boomers, who have already paid their share and want to retire in some peace and security.
I would provide a universal health care plan much like the ones in France, GB, and Canada. Socialistic? Yes.

First, enforce immigration laws. Then bully Congress to tax reform so we can cut the costs to businesses.
Fair Tax implemented
Cut spending by 20% in 4 years.
Allow people to opt out of Social Security
Force people to buy private health insurance and get rid of Medicare
Bully Congress into private school vouchers
Appoint originalist judges
Ban Emminent Domain as it is now. No more taking private property to increase tax base
On Iraq, level the problem areas. Rebuild. Close off border in Iran and Syria. Allow troops to shoot the enemy, no matter where they lie. Announce on world wide tv that the US will help the people of Iran overthrow the bad guys. The enemy must fear us.
On health care, remove all the mandates in a policy. Tort reform, which means cut the frivolous lawsuits. Cut the cost of liability insurance and costs go down. Costs go down and so do prices.
The key to economic problems is less government intervention and private commerce

First I'd repair relations with our allies and then start talks with our enemies. Together we could find a way to bring peace to Iraq. Then we'd start the process of ridding the world of nuclear weapons and begin serving the needs of people before corporations.
At home I'd start reducing the size of government mainly through modern management techniques with a goal of reducing everyones taxes and providing universal healthcare to all. It can be done.
