Carnival in Trinidad or Kadooment in Barbados which one is more fun?

I'm 100% Bajan and i luv my country's culture,dance & music. There is always this rivalry between de Trinis and Bajans about which festival is betta. I doan mean to brag but we bajans cud wuk up betta than all de trinis put together. I haven't been to trini carnival but i luv dem music to de bone. What do you think?

Barbados is more fun for the reasons of it is less crowded, you feel safer, and it is a LOT less expensive for a costume.

And not crying down Trinidad, but I personally tend to have more fun in an environment where I feel SAFE, and crime there is MUCH higher than in Barbados.

I don't want to be 'wukkin' up' and looking over my shoulder!

I answered this in the Trinidad forum, but I prefer Kadooment Day. Less concentration on costumes, more on the fun. Trinidad has some bigger fetes, but I really enjoy the crazy wukkin up in fetes and the road that make you not even want to get caught on camera. Both have very good music however.

Both are fun. I like Kadooment. I love Bajan culture even though I wasn't born there or anything, but it's my favourite island..
