it's possible to have contractions even in early labor and not feel them (consider yourself lucky if this is you), but it's also possible that something else might be up.
give your doctor a ring, chances are good they'll tell you to go to the hospital or go in to their office and you'll get an exam, & an NST (non-stress test, will monitor baby's heartbeat and your contractions...even if you can't feel them, it'll read them!). Your doctor or the hospital nurses will be able to tell you whether or not you're in labor.
for me, i definately felt my contractions (oh boy did i!), but one thing that i noticed very early on was that my baby got very active as the contraction started, before i could even feel them! my partner watched the monitor and let me know that a contraction was starting before i could feel it, but i quickly realized the baby was picking up on it before my partner was. maybe your baby is doing the same thing, letting you know that you're having contractions, whether you can feel them or not.
just call your doctor, head in (don't forget your labor bag & the car seat!), get checked out, and if it's not labor, then at least you'll know & you won't be worrying!

You might be in labor. Start timing, when they get 5 minutes apart for over an hour, then you need to call the hospital. With my first I was in and out of labor for 36 hours at home. Good luck! You are almost there!

Call your dr, describe what you're feeling, and see what they say. Honestly, if you were able to sit at the computer and write out your question, then it's probably not active labor. But since you're already 3 cm, if you tell the dr what you're feeling they may tell you to come in and give you Pitocin to get labor going. If you can, try walking a little bit, that usually helps labor progress and brings the baby down.

I tried to stay at home for as long as possible too. Good for you strong lady!! I would think about going soon, since most hospitals will admit you at 4 cm. You have done an awesome job waiting, but soon it will be time. I wish you all the luck in your labor and congrats!!!

I think you are experiencing active labor. I would call the doctor first and tell them what is going on and make a decision on whether to go to the doctor or not.
Good Luck
