Trying to make a film?

Hi iim trying to make afilm, for starters im a scryptwrite, buti want to mke it, so any tips on how i can learn to do the camera and to edit a film? anyone knows a good cheap camera for this purpose? also imin austin texas is there any placei could like rent the equipment? thank you
