I don't even remember what I had for lunch

The human brain learns from repetition, as well a child's brain is not fully developed and as a result only very traumatising things are really remembered from babyhood to early childhood. Pain you remember, but what you had for breakfast on your third birthday is lost in the shuffle.

It hasn't been conclusively proven yet but one theory I recall is that your brain is still actively growing and producing tons of new neural connections. In short, your brain is so active with these things that memory falls by the wayside or memory is essentially paved over as your brain grows.

Still.... that doesn't really make sense given that as a child or infant you're learning a million different things every day =/.

Oi,

Cheers,

Many people remember very far back in their childhood, some to the very early months. As people age, they remember things that surprise them and some that they really don't want to remember.

Be patient, you will remember many things in time.
