After 3 years of researching, reading and analysing politics, I concluded that the "war on terror" that Bush's administration initiated was a bogus scenario. I must admit that initially I supported Bush to invade Afghanistan and then Iraq. Then, I realized that Bush is a dangerous man and many Americans just started realizing that. Yes, I do understand that Taliban rulers in Afghanistan supported Bin Laden network and set up many training camps to train terrorists to kill innnocent people. But I do not understand why USA invaded Afghanistan, set up a new regime, killed many innocent Afghanistani people and then ignored the whole thing. Afghanistan's situation now is much worst than ever. Al-Qaeda terrorists are mush stronger and more established than ever along the Pakistani-Afghanistani borders. Taliban fighters are also stronger now and getting lots of amunitions from Russia and Iran. US is not even talking about that at all. Taliban rulers did not attack us or killed our American people, Bin Ladden's network did. Bush is refusing to even capture Bin Laden, eventhough we know where he is precisely. What is going on? Based on my above facts, I do not support this war and I do not think it is justified. And now, regarding the Iraqi situation, I do understand that USA should control the Iraqi oil and we can't allow the Baath Party (Saddam's ruling Party) to be in control for ever. I do understand that it is important for the USA to have a democratic nation as a good ally in the heart of the middle East, which is the new Iraq. However, I do not understand how ignorant, incompetent and poor judgement of such administration can be. USA did not play Iraqi cards well. They played the "Favortism Game". They preferred Shiites over Sunnis and initially gave Shiites more power. Well, how do you expect the Sunnis to feel? ofcourse they are going to retaliate after they enjoyed dominance and prosperity during Saddam's era. Did Bush really expect Maliki's government to be loyal to Iraq as a nation? ofcourse not! Maliki's administration is committed to its own ideology and so are Sunnis. Bush thinks that Iran is our enemy and he won't talk to them. So how come Bush brushes off the fact that Nour Al-Maliki is chummy with the spiritual Leader of Iran (Ayotollah) and he visits Iran's president many times a year? I thought Bush said repeatedly that any country deals with our enemy is considered a terrorist country. Taliban dealt with Bin Laden, which was a justification to invade Afghanistan in the first place. If we really care about democracy and hate communism, why are we even chummy and deal with Communist China? Why we, as Americans support a mad man like Bush to do all these crazy things. Our precious constitution does not even allow us to attack other countries, unles we are attacked first by that nation. Why we even support a president who has no repect for our great constitution. Bush said many times that "Constitution is a goddamn piece of paper" He thinks that he can change anything....and in fact he did!

Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11 attack and never attacked USA. I do not know about you, but I do care about all human beings as a whole. Unjustified wars and killing innocent people is dead wrong....Bush is dead wrong too. Bush's administration knew about the 9/11 attack and he failed to protect us here, failed to protect Iraqis and subsequently he failed the "War on terror"......Yes! I DO oppose such wars. Thank you for listening.

I am against the wars and one reason is that it is not against the terrorists it is against innocent people. How many terrorists do you think they have killed during this war? Do you think they are all in Iraq and Afganistan or do you think they are in another country?

The reasons we have gone to war are excuses made up by the men in charge.

Although I disagree with your premise about peace, ask Neville Chamberlain about peace and appeasement, I am against the war in Iraq because we were blatantly lied to concerning the threat Iraq posed to us. The whole WMD thing was a lie, pure and simple. Made up by a bunch of Overpaid White Guys(tm) who needed another reason to pad their retirement funds.

You can believe that, but it's not true. I wish it was true, but it isn't. Just because you are kind to someone doesn't mean they will be that way back to you.
With that said, Afghanistan was a just war because the rulers of that country killed over 3,000 innocent Americans not to mention the innocent people in Afghanistan that they killed.

Iraq was a bad move. Sadaam was contained. We didn't need to fight that war. We should have finished the job with bin Laden and been done with it.

And don't believe everything is because of religion. A lot of peope will kill in the name of but they do it for other reasons too like power and money.

I do not support the war in Iraq, but the war in Afghanistan is just. They attacked us first and massively.

But as usual we are fighting it completely the wrong way and in the end we face great loss of American lives, huge amounts of money and Vietnam-like humiliation. Bush is an idiot.

Well, I don't believe your reasoning- these people were brought up from kids to HATE and KILL! So not everyone can be taught peace. I am against the wars because we are spending billions of dollars over there to kill people, when we have starving, sick, and homeless people here that should be our government's priority.

I oppose all wars because the people who start and perpetuate them do so from positions of safety and comfort while young people and their families are broken and killed.

Its a way that cannot be won, as the "enemy" is always on the move and not restricted to one area/country.

A more productive war would be one on ignorance.
