I've been on Yasmin for about a year now, never miss any pills, always taken around the same time. A few months ago I took 2 packs straight to skip my period and it all went fine. I got my period at the end of the following pack. I did it again this past month and am at the end of the second pack, due to start the inactive pills on Sunday, but yesterday I felt some cramping, and today I'm having some brownish discharge when I use the bathroom. I usually don't get my period intil the 4th day of inactive pills. Could I be pregnant? Or am I just getting my period early? Should I continue with the pills as scheduled (1 more active, followed by 7 inactive).

hi i had the same when i skipped my period by going directly onto the next pack. I really don't think the body likes it when you muck around with its natural cycle for too long. If you think you could be pregnant get tested asap. Providing you are not with a bun in the oven, i would take the pills as scheduled and stop skipping your period.

my doctors have actually told me to do that, skip the inactive pills so you dont have a period. it will not harm your body or anything, but it does take 3 to 6 months for your body to get used to not having a period. i did that for the first few months, there is nothing to worry about. and yes, you should take the rest of your pills as scheduled, but skipping the inactive week will not hurt anything

You may not be pregnant, but why would you not take Yasmin as directed? I am an OB/GYN and I like Yasmin. Check with your doctor.
