I usually go to the store and talk to the manager....and cancel it there! I don't trust phone-calls, they might "forget" that you had called....

Sorry, but I don't have Sprint. However, I have friends with Sprint, and if you have time, go to your local Sprint store, and make sure that they know you will be leaving them. If you keep the same cell phone, make sure it's compatable with your new company. If not, you might have to spring for a new cell. Back to Sprint, they are really touchy, and if you aren't careful, you'll sign your life away on one of their contracts. Verizon is sooooo much better on the West coast, and Cingular in the East/South. Good Luck.

They may put you on a month to month and charge you monthly. That's what my service said they do. You should call to cancel but you may first want to sign up for a new plan with a different carrier and you can get a very cool brand new FREE phone with a new service plan at the following website. If you want to keep your same phone number, you should do that first before you cancel with Sprint. Check out the site below, I recommend Cingular or Verizon, they have much better service than Sprint.

Yes, they normally renew on a month to month basis...you have to call to cancel. And you have to call before your contract date is up, or they wont cancel it for another month. Also if you plan on changing services, but want to keep the same number, start the new service before the current one expires so they can transfer your number.

I used to have T-mobile for three years and now I have Verizon. What I would do is call Sprint and tell them you were going switch to another carrier. They will do everything from upgrading your phone, giving you more minutes, paying for a month of service... Just play the cards that you have because they want to keep you.

you need to call them NOW. I just ended my contract with verizon a couple weeks ago..they should have already or will send you a letter letting you know that you have to renew your contract by the 14th. when you get this letter...call the number on there and tell them that will be your last day with them.

service will not automatically stop. You need to call, otherwise your phone will be working and you will get billed. That yr contract expires really means that you are free to change providers w/o penalty .

Call them!!! Otherwise, they will continue to bill you. You won't be in a contract, but you need to let them know that you don't want their services anymore.
