Well in this section (LGBT) some of the women used to be men so they probably know something about guys.

Because women KNOW! Guys are guys are women know what the name of the game is. Some women just tolerate it and some women have self-respect, but women know the deal. I think most guys are clueless about women actually.

If you're meaning in terms of knowing about the sexual orientation of the guy then.....
Women in our culture tend to be more adept at picking up on social cues that men tend to miss. As children (so the theory goes) little girls have to be accutely aware of the moods/emotions/underlying feelings of the other little girls around them in order to survive socially (not sure if I really agree with this point). As such, women as they grow up then tend to notice little nuances about other people that might allow them to discern a person's orientation without being told.
On the flip side (as you think) women might THINK that they know a guys's sexual orientation but really be totally out to lunch. Still though that's not to say that they don't think that they're right.
I think that it can go both ways,
