I'm a bit of a Halloween freak and I'm already thinking about my costume...?

Question

I think I'm going to have a disco themed party, so i want a disco costume, what should I wear? I want to find the outfit at Goodwill or a thrift store, so it's cheap and I will have fun looking. I definintly want platform shoes... but that's as far as I've gotten.

Ebay deffinately. Especially since you have a lot of time to shop. I went as a cheerleader and had a hard time finding a uniform (really hard, closest I could get was a nothing special smaple with no lettering on it and still not cheap). I found a complete uniform on Ebay. It was a great looking 100% authentic high school uniform. I was even able to get the matching jacket. The price was really good too (spent maybe $40 on everything including the skirt, sweater, jacket, shoes, wig , ... hmmm, ok maybe $50). The tough part was finding a uniform in my size and one I liked (hey, if I'm going to be dressed as a cheerleader for a whole day, I want a cool uniform!)

Disco theme, great idea!
I'd go with silver platform boots, white tight mini-dress, and a silver jacket (short cropped style). Or if you can find it, one of those liquid silver dresses (I always thought those were so cool). I think for a girl you could get away with a thinner high heel as well (boot or maybe a shoe with lots of straps to it, open toe, ect).


I'm thinking Halloween already myself. Maybe 80's rocker girl this year. Then I get to wear a leather mini-skirt :-) (hehe), some sort of halter top maybe, some black high heel boots, a leather jacket of course, same big hair blonde wig from my cheerleader outfit. Might need some serious make-up help with this one though.

I'll send some better suggestions when I get better idea of exactly what I'm thinking of ok?

Go as a disco ball! take a trash bag cover it with aluminum foil ( use tacky glue.) put a hole where the head is and holes for arms, tie at the waist, wear silver pants and platforms!

You should watch the movie "Saturday Night Fever", with John Travolta. That should give you some great ideas in dressing and style.
