First ask yourself the following
1. Is he gay/bi or straight?
2. Is he shy or a showoff around only you?
3. Does he try and spend a lot of time around you?
4. Acts in any way different around you?
Answers:
1. gay/bi maybe, straight for no, if you answered straight, give up
2. shyness or showoffyness can be a sign...
3. if he follows you he MAY (emphasis on may) be trying to ask you out
4. Usually, he may try and act like you to impress you
this may help you, but there's no absolute way to tell, sorry.
