The Myan calendar ends on 2012. The world won't end
but there's supposed to ba a great cataclysm. Just get your
3-D glasses, sit out in your yard and see what happens.

No. It's not true--for that specific date. It's actually December 24, 2012. But really, the world will not end on that date either. It's just the end of the Mayan calendar. They didn't count up any higher than that so people assume they predicted the end of the world. On the other hand, Sylvia Browne said the world will end in 80 years. But you probably won't be alive then anyways.

the history channel actually had a pretty good show on recently about this. the mayans divided time into different periods. i believe the program showed that the mayans believed that a new time period would begin around that time - not necessarily a world-ending event but a mark in time and the start of another period.
i believe edgar cayce also predicted a time event around this date as well

That's what the Myan calendar claims, but in truth no man can truly know. Even in the Bible it offers clues, but no specific date for humans.
