I got a really bad cut by my ankle and it has been bleeding since about 5 o'clock. I've tryed everything and I really don't know what to do anymore. It's not a big cut but it's really deep and it hurts.

FIRST: Make sure that the blood is spurting or pumping out (go to the doc right away that means arterial bleeding...).

Apply FIRM, uninterrupted pressure for a few minutes. If it continues bleeding, you're gonna have to go in.

Otherwise, bandage it up really good, not super tight, don't constrict your natural circulation, leave it alone, don't pick it, and elevate the leg and put some ice on it, that will decrease the flow and allow time for the wound to seal.

No aspirin, that makes your blood thin. Take a Tylenol if it hurts and then just relax. Take the bandage off tomorrow and see how it looks. If you bleed through, go to the E.R.

I hope by now it has stopped. If not (and I don't know how many minutes or hours have passed), pl. go to a doctor or ER.

Once it stops bleeding, you can use Rescue Remedy Cream for the cut to heal. It is a Bach Flower Essence combination available at almost all health food stores.

Apply direct pressure, DO NOT TOUCH WATER TO THE TORN SKIN.

Cleanse the wound if necessary, but don't keep water over the skin.
Then, keep it above your heart with direct pressure to the cut.

considering that is not a vessel laceration you can just elevate the foot and just keep it elevated. apply pressure with a large bandage. if bleeding continues go to urgent care clinic.
