Now that we have Phillips, do you think this is going to help or hurt our chances of making it to the SuperBowl????

Oh man. This is gonna help big time. The Cowboys play a 3-4 defense, and Phillips is a master of the 3-4. He did it in San Diego and in Buffalo. I fully expect the Cowboys to go 11-5 and go deep in the playoffs too.

Well with Wade Phillips they will do good. If you want them to make the super bowl they need to get rid of T.O. and acquire Randy Moss. TO drops to many balls, and is very disruptive. As for Phillips he will help the cowboys defense get better. If the cowboys should win the superbowl they will need and other good safety next to Roy Williams, in either the draft or free agency. Overall they have a very good shot of making the super bowl, because the NFC doesn't really have a power house team, and if Romo gets more consistent and becomes a better leader they will easily make the super bowl. I don't think they will win it because the AFC is way too powerful.

This team can compete with the game's best. The key is consistency and eliminating costly mental errors. In addition to the high powered offense, the defense has the potential to become one of the league's most feared units. The main issue to address is the offensive line where RG Marco Rivera's back caused him to struggle and LT Flozell Adams who has problems blocking speed rushers. If the team can address these weaknesses through the draft or free agency, they should be a playoff contender for many years. Coach Phillips should be much of a non-factor since he is a player's coach and doesn't have the spotlight on him like Parcells had.

You're kidding me, right? You had Bill Parcells, a Hall of Fame coach. Now you have Wade Phillips. Be realistic here! Unless the Cowboys pick up some more pieces in free agency (Brad Johnson and Leonard Davis are NOT the answer), there's no Super Bowl in reach.

Right before the playoffs 8) , Phillips is going to be a good leader, if nothing else he'll do whatever Jimmy says to do(look at San Diego) but the 'Boys time has been. Maybe if they get a running back in the draft and that young defense improves even more they will make it in. I'd never count them out.

the cowboys will be a playoff team, but i find it hard to believe they will make it past the divisional round of the playoffs...as for the second part of your question, compared to parcells, wade phillips is a major downgrade for the cowboys and will significantly hurt their chances of being a super bowl team...he has no playoff successes and has never dealt with a primadonna like TO, so we don't know whether or not he can keep the team together

The cowboys are a better than average team. I don't see them doing any better in the playoffs that last year though.

Naw, ya wont make it to Super Bowl unless Romo can turn out to be like Brady or Manning, need a better special team, TO has to HOLD ON AND CATCH AND MAKE PLAYS LIKE HE DID FEW YEARS BACK, the Defense has to be more consistant and the coach better have and make right calls from his playbook

I'm a Bills fan...... When we had him as a coach we didn't go anywhere!!!! He won't be able to coach T.O. So best of luck to the cowboys. Your season depends on Romo..... And we all saw what he did in the playoffs.

It's the NFC, anything can happen. But can you make it to the Super Bowl, I just don't know.

Cheers!
