You would never believe it if you knew me. Purple Rain by Prince. I just find it very well written & emotional & deep. I've been a hard rock drummer for over 20 years & yet that song is still the best to me. I doubt it will ever be outdone. I might have it played at my funeral. They can say what they want about Prince but he is a very talented artist. One of the best ever.

A couple really, although it depends on my mood

Pharaoh by EdGuy, and Rime of he Ancient Mariner by Iron Maiden - a couple of songs to get lost in the music and the mood

Wishmaster - Nightwish, Breakin the Law - Judas Priest - feel good songs...

Beat the Drum - Runrig - reminds mne of my late dog, Bert - we used to play and muck around to that song - he knew the opening bars and would come running in...

Love Walked In - Thunder - the first song I heard on the radio the night I met my (now) beautiful wife

I have lots of favorite songs, more than I can count.

But right now I think my favorite song is Time Stands Still by Blind Guardian. It's got a wonderfully epic feel to it, it's well written, well played, the singer has an amazing voice and it's about oe of my favorite characters from Tolkien's Silmarillion.

To love you more - Celine Dion. I first heard it being played to Sasha Cohen's (American figure skater) performance on you tube and felt instantly in love with the song, it's so powerful. Celine's voice has the wow factor!
