im turning 15 and im getting my tongue pierced next month and i was wondering because i heard u need to be 16 even wit ur parents consent to get ur tongue pierced andi was wondering if sum places wud do it wen im 15 bcuz i reallllyy wana get my tngue pierced so badly! and i wanna no if it hurts and wuts the average price to get it done and is it worth it?im not doin it to look cool or cuz im a slut im doin it cuz I want it not for anyone elses satisfaction

Depending on the place if your parent is with you most places will pierce your tongue if your parent gives consent. It usually runs between 45 and 50 dollars. 50 being the most it should cost anywhere. Yea it is definately worth it, it's fun to play with, it doesn't hurt the day you get it done but the next couple days it hurts, just cuz your tongue swells up. Depending on how thick your tongue is to begin with it may make it hard to talk, eating is a HUGE challenge the first few days after you get it done. I suggest slurpees,soup or ice cream, the colder the better it feels. Rinse your mouth with listerene after EVERY meal/drink(other than water)/cigarette(if you smoke) until it's healed which only takes about a few days to a week at the most. After the swelling goes down and it stops hurting it will take you a few days to get used to chewing and swallowing food with the tongue ring, but it's not a big deal it's kinda funny actually and after the first week the damn thing feels like it's been there all your life. :) Enjoy it cuz there are so many cool rings and things you can get for it and it's fun to have. it doesn't hurt at all cause you tounge is a muscle, but i haven't hurd of any places that will pierce anything unless your 18 or have your parents with you. It feels like someone pinched like a piece of your skin not even that. it will swell 1-3 days after getting it done. and the only downfall is in the first week you can eat solid foods cause it hurts and you don;t want to bite down on the barbell. they will insert more then likely not a 1inch barbell and they do this for the swelling purpose. but then about 10-14 days you get it the barbell switched to a smaller one. people always say your gonna regret it but you won't..and even if you decide you don't want it anymore you can take it out and it heals within 30-45 minutes. and no one would ever know that it was done.

I was exactly the same way you were when i was 15. I am 19 now and i wanted to get my tongue pierced, i had to wait till i turned 16. I took my mom with me. I do not know of any places were they would do it, but u should wait one more year. You dont want to go anywere were they dont do them legally, it may not be safe!! Like you said, I also didnt want to get it because it looked cool, i just wanted to get it because i wanted it.....i didnt care what they said, as long as i knew i wasnt a ***. Mine cost $55 plus $7 for the cleanser. When they first put the needle threw you can feel it but it is a lil pain, nothing big. Afterworth is when it really hurts. It gets really swollen and you cant eat or talk. But just take some Advil when you feel it really hurts. It stayed like that for like 2 weeks. Just take good care of it and it will heel fast. If you do it, get ready for a diet of liquids and painkillers for at least a week. Mine hurt for about 3 days, your tounge swells and you constantly have to swish listerine to keep the wound clean. The actual peircing doesn't hurt, all you hear is a disturbing 'pop' but about 20 mins later,..ouch. Most parlors won't do it if your 15 because it's just not a responsible thing for them to do. Most have reservations doing it even if your 16 with parent's permission....wait til your 18 and you decide you really want it. And save some money for the dental bills from chipped teeth (yeah, you'd be surpised how many times the damn thing hits your teeth)

I don't remember the age limit for having a parent there but I might be 16. I was $50 when I got mine done about 7yrs ago. But it doesn't hurt because they make you clean your mouth out really good with this strong mouth wash that makes your mouth all tingly, then they clamp it, after that your good to go, you won't feel the needle!! Just make sure you go and get you some crushed ice from Sonic after for the swelling!!

well i juss got ma tongue pierced like an hour ago and it didnt hurt at all its a lil swollen but other than that its completely painless the procedure was so quick you cant even have time for pain and yea some places require you to be 16 but some might allow you to get it done at 15 but you have to have parent permission

i have my tongue done and it only cost 10 but that was for a grand opening and it DOESNT hurt to get it peirced!!! they use mouth wash to numb your whole mouth and then they peirce it!! i had trouble eating for like 2 wks but thats it and as for damaging your teeth it takes yrs before the affects of it after a while you wont even notive that you have it doen... i think that you should wait meaybe another yr or so jsut be sure that this is what you want for you and nobody else my dad always says thats a whole in your body it willl be there forever(even after teh scars) well i hope i helped you

your too young wait till your an adult and duh it hurts your getting a needle jammed thru your tongue, how bad it hurts depends on how high your pain tolerance is mine is very high so it didnt really bother me my eyes almost got watery from it but the worst part is that listerine will be your best friend for a while
oh and an added extra i got mine cuz i have a problem with biting the insides of lip and it really did help i would just flip my barbell over and nibble on it but i took mine out and forgot about it and now it needs redone also i always had plastic or rubber balls so my teeth wouldnt be at risk

first of where do you live? here in vegas u can get pierced by the tounge at least, as long as your parents consent... i'm not sure what age they cap at but my hommie back in the day got his tounge pierced at 13, when i got mine done it cost 40 bucks, but i suggest you go in with more money for you to pick out a barbell you like... and as i was told right after getting my tounge pierced have fun eating ***

I think you can do it at Claire's when you're 14 with yur parents, I wouldn't do it though, It will really hurt. I mean getting you ear's pierced is bad enough, knowing you have to take care of it for like 2 months. So I wouldn't do it, but it is yur decision. At Claire's you have to buy the earrings, and the cheep one are like 14 bucks, most expensive, like 40 something.
