Pls see a gynecologist about this if you haven't already. One of the classic symptoms of endometriosis as well as vulvodynia (and I have them both as part of my many health issues) is pain with intercourse.

If you have already seen a gyn for this and they say nothing is wrong pls get another opinion.

To find out about endometriosis pls check out: http://www.endocenter.org

I see that one of the other posters gave you a good link about vulvodynia but check WebMD as well for additional information and also the National Vulvodynia Association at: http://www.nva.org

Pls feel free to e-mail me privately if you have more specific questions about my experiences with both of these.

I have the same problem and the doctors don't know what's wrong. They just give me muscle relaxants and it doesn't help at all. But I know what you're talking about. It hurts really bad. I'm looking for an answer too. So my advice to you is not to give up and go after an answer.

It may be as simple as he keeps hitting into your cervix, which can be extremely painful. If certain positions, especially when he's going into you more shallowly, don't hurt, then use them. Make sure you're properly lubed and possibly come through oral sex once first; you might just need to be a little more warmed up, and he may not want to slam into you too deeply.

i have this problem sometimes too, and the only thing that helps me is to have lots of lube and for my bf not to go as deep as he usually does. sometimes when you have sex the tip of the penis hits the uterus and causes it to hurt really bad, and others you just arent wet enough. i have had it so bad that i couldnt have sex for a week. does it happen when you have tampons in too? if so then it probably just means that you arent wet enough and may need to lube up more than once during sex. once it starts hurting get more lubrication. hope this helps, its the only thing that has helped me.

One of my friends had this same problem, certain positions hurt like hell. She found out that her uterus was tilted backwards, it also ran in the family. It is not life threatening, but there are certain positions that she cannot do.

Insist that your doctor refer you to a specialist. You could have a tilted pelvis or many other things that cause you to experience pain. Its impossible to tell here. Go see a specialist.

Is he your first? If this is your first then things like this are bound to happen, maybe your not wet enough. Maybe he does have a big one? Maybe your just to small and tight to have it like that, the pain is probably the pounding from him. If he rams you hard.. then that is it and tell him to go softer.

You got the same thing I got, that I'm researching...

Vulvodynia.

I hate it. There's different forms of it. So, if I were you, I'd research more about it.
