An average novel length varies according to authors. Average length for Stephen King will be 500 to 700 pages, Dan Brown 400 to 600 pages, John Grisham 350 to 450 pages. Some novels like "The Curious Incident of The Dog At Nigthtime" was less than 200 pages long. Whereas some novels are over 1200 pages long!

Most of the novels I've read have ranged from 100-500 pages. Although a good novel that can stand on it's own without the extra words, pages, embellishments are great too because it shows that the writing is developed to the point of poignancy.

My guess is that novels are usually anywhere from 200 to 350 pages, judging from the fiction I read. Of course they can be much longer. Novellas, on the other hand, tend to run from 35 to 200 pages. But I'm really not certain if there are any hardcore rules for this.

You have the short novels - less than 100 pages - than you have the normal page novels - between 100 to 400 pages - than you have the verbose novels - around 400 to 650 pages - than you have the novels that the writer never stops - around 650 to infinitive!@~

Well I don't know what you mean by "average" but in my opinion it's about 250-350 pages.

Average is 250-300 words, and that's what a lot of people who aren't avid readers like to read.
