Why did Juilet take the poison??? I just wanna know!!!!

Juliet married Romeo in secret becuase they were supposed to hate each other becuase of the fued between their two houses.

When Romeo kills Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, the Prince exiles Romeo which makes Juliet extremly sad. Juliet cries and cries so her parent's think she's overly depressed about the death of her cousin because they don't know about the marriage, which is the real reason why she's sad.

To cheer her up, her father thinks marrying her to Paris will cure her of her depression... but the only problem is she's already married and is in love with Romeo.

So.. she goes to the Friar who gives her the potion that makes her seem dead, but she's only in a deep sleep. She fakes her death, and the plan was that Romeo was supposed to come and get her then they'd escape together. But then the plan goes wrong, Romeo doesnt know Juliet isn't actually dead, he kills himself by drinking poisen, Juliet wakes up and stabs herself.

So she took the poisen to fake her death so she could ultimatly be with Romeo and avoid marrying someone else.

I think she took the poison because it wasn't actually poison. I think it was sleeping potion instead where the person who took it seems dead but he/she will take up in a few hours. Romeo really thought that Juliet was dead so he took a real potion and when Juliet woke up finding Romeo dead, she committed suicide.
A bit gullible really if you ask me.

The poison she drank to make herself appear dead for three days? Well she and Romeo were already married, (which her father didn't know), so her father engaged her to Paris, who obviously, she didn't love. She drank the poison to get out of the wedding, by faking her death. The Friar was supposed to tell romeo, but didn't reach him in time, causing both to commit suicide.

It wasn't poison. It was something to make her go to sleep for a long time so her family could think she died and so that her and Romeo could run away. She sent someone to give him the message, but his friend (who didn't know what was going on ) saw Juliet's "funeral" and believed it, so he went to tell Romeo. Then he told him and Romeo left, so he never got the message. He went to the church where they had put her and thought she was dead, and then killed himself. Then she woke up and saw that HE had killed himself so she stabbed herself.

It wasn't really poison, but a poison-like substance. Juliet does it so Romeo will come save her in 48 hours so they can take off and live happily ever after, but he kills himself instead (because Juliet was s tupid and didn't tell him the plan). Then she wakes up and kills herself.

first of all, it wasnt really poison, it only made her appear dead. now, she took it because she wanted her family to think she was dead so that they would take her to the family crypt and leave her there. then romeo would come along and by then she would be awake and ready to go. but as we all know, it didnt work so smoothly

she took the poison to fake her death, not to kill herself, it was a good plan, till romeo saw her and took poison himself, then he died and she saw him dead, then she killed herself MAN what a story!...young love...cant beat it, only time can defeat it.
