you know like the whole band geek in skool? my friends dropped out of band in like 5th grade. and im still in there with a couple of cool kids, bt most of them are so crazed!!!

NO way !!! Both my son and daughter were in band from 5th grade through High School. In our town it was cool to be in band. They gained skills in not only music, but leadership, team work, and a healthy drive for competition as well.
As a parent, I helped walk along with them through many parades/competitions, fitted band uniforms and so on.
I am still proud to watch our town's band go by --I still remember all the cadences the drum line plays, even though my kids are now grown. My daughter was drum major her senior year, and now she is a junior in college ---majoring in music education and wants to be a band director.
Marching band rocks !!

I'm in the school band. I have fun, and I enjoy the people I'm in band with. Some other people make fun of me, most don't.
I really don't care if they make fun of me or not. I'm the best high school trombonist in the state (based on auditions,) and top-10 or so in the northeast. None of the athletes or cheerleaders at my school can say that they are that good at what they do, so I'm the one getting the last laugh.

most of em are like average..... i dropped out in 7th grade... and now that u brought up this subject i am gonna vent ( sry 4 the profanity Y!A) ok:
my band teacher is a ******* ***** and she crapping forced me to be in again when i know i ****** suck!!!!!!!!!! i had ****** straight As !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then my FUCKINNNNNNNNNNNNNNN BI-POLAR band teacher gives me a BBBBB that ruined my grade.... i now HATE band and she wouldent even ****** let me switch instruments, when she KNOWS i SUCK!!!! she wants to embarrass me in front of class i guess GOD damn it!!!!!!!!! and the ONLY reason i'm finishin the year with out ditching class is we get to go to six flags and have a lock-in if we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\
