She is a wise woman. I was a Republican also until President Bush thought he found the (extra votes) Lord.

Democrats can be so naive.
Remember Josef Stalin? A man responsible for tens of millions of deaths? He became a communist in college. College is not an atmosphere where you learn to think for yourself. It is the opposite. Professors are professors because their ideas don't really work in the real world. Then they educate people on those unworkable ideas. Then, as in the case of so many, wreak complete havoc on the world.

We did this one yesterday. So Hillary changed her views. I'm glad of that. Someone who never changes their views is somebody who doesn't do any thinking.
But she is not a socialist. Unfortunately. She did try to put forth one social program, but in the right-wing USA that is next to impossible, unfortunately.

Yes she was, until she worked for Goldwater and worked with some of the abused children at Yale-New Haven Hospital!
She was the #1 graduate at Wellsley, not in the bottom 5% of her class!

The process happens to lots of people in college: they move away from parroting whatever their parents believed and begin to formulate their own ideas. It goes both ways, too, by the way, so your theory about university professors doesn't hold water.
And actually, if you examine your own statement, you will see that you are postulating that as people get more educated and less ignorant, they become more liberal. I'm not sure that's what you want to advocate, is it? Even if true.

Winston Churchill started off in the conservative party, but only out of opportunism. As soon as he could, he joined the liberals and successfully prevented the nazis from invading Britain

I was a Republican, also, when I first went into college. I learned that world just doesn't work that way. The Republican Party likes to maintain the status quo and entrench themselves into the fabric of society. I am not a pariah.
Like Hillary, I wised up and became a liberal Democrat.
Also, from your point-of-view, it would seem more conservatives should get advanced degrees and join the ranks of academia, if you are so overly concerned about being "indoctrinated" by liberal professors.

That's not proof of anything other than the fact that she saw the truth and chose to change her party affiliation, it's nothing new.
EDIT: You are wrong, I have always thought for myself, I was raised by a devout Catholic Mom, yet chose to become Buddhist. If you believe that many people don't think for themselves, then it is YOU, whose mind has been set.

And college did her good. She wised up and became a Democrat. She got top grades too, not a bunch of c or barely passing with a d as someone else we know.

It's just proof that some people get dumber with age, and you're right about the professors.
