I'm looking for a Plug In Hybrid car that is out on the market today. Are there any major companies (ex. Toyota, Mazda, etc..) that have them out on the market today and aren't just concept cars for the future.

there are currently no plug in hybrids (PHEVs) being produced from auto manufacturers yet. you'll have to have a hybrid taken to a third party and have it converted. currently only Toyota is being worked on by third parties to convert to a PHEV but ford is looking into doing the same from the factory in a few years.

Plug In Hybrid? Electric cars are usually plug-in. Hybrid cars are not - they still use gasoline engines. That's the whole point - to be able to fill it up with gasoline so that you are not limited by the size of the battery. The gasoline engine charges the battery as needed - and also adds power to the electric motor if more power is needed. This is how they get such great mileage - the engine is usually not running when the car is stopped and when driving slowly (at city speeds.)

I heard that the Toyota Pirus was supposed to have a modification that included storage batteries and charger
