I have a few books I want to list on Ebay, looking at other auctions for the same books many of the auctions state in the description "not price clipped" (pertaining to the dust jacket). What does this mean?

The listing price is printed on the top corner of the front of the dust jacket flap. In remainder stock, the price is often cut off. It just means the book didn't sell quickly enough and went to a reseller. Same thing when you buy clothes at Marshalls and the tag has been clipped or there is a permanent marker line on it. Some remainder books have a permanent marker mark on the bottom.

On the dust jacket (the bit folded over inside the front cover) the price is always printed by the publisher. When the price is not clipped it means they have not snipped the price off (usually done in a diagonal across the corner). If the price isn't snipped you have proof how much the book sold for, if it's snipped you have clue. Hope that helps.
