Most powerful nations are trying to liberalize worldwide trade in goods and services, since the theory goes that free markets create more wealth than unfree markets.
But isn't this inconsistent and hypocritical, since they are doing nothing to liberalize the labour market? How can you morally justify free movement of goods if you don't allow free movement of people?
Shouldn't we try to make a decision one way or the other, ie. goods+labour restricted, OR goods+labour free?
