Look at the ingredients and be sure that the first ingredient is WATER. Don't purchase anything with mineral oil in it.
Mineral make up is also a good choice

There is only one brand of foundation that works, Bare minerals. but there is a brand that gets rid of pimples. Proactiv

covergirl has a foundation for teens, with pimple preventive stuff it's called clean or something like that.
In my usage just go for oil-free foundations, my favorite is rimmel, it goes on really light with good coverage, and it's cheap!

I have extremely clear skin (I'll get a single zit every few months), and I've used bareEscentuals bareMinerals foundation. It's so pure that you can reportedly sleep in it without breaking out (although, obviously, it's better not to.) Also, anything that says, "non-comedogenic" on it should be okay.

If you have sensitive, oily, and acne prone skin, you're better off going for the high end foundations. Personally, I LOVE Prescriptives Virtual Skin. It's coverage is smooth and they have great shades!
