Talk to him- watch his eyes- shy guys meet people they have no like for openly and will make soem eye contact - the shy guy that likes you will look at you at the start and will advert your eyes - do not look at him right away directly and keep him in the corner of your vision- he will steal looks if interested and smile abit- be yourself then and then if you get this response- be aggressive if you do not want to spend weeks getting him out of the box- if you have weeks- continue down this track till you get more and more eye contgact till he straight up looks at you more than away from you- then find a common like- and got and do it. Look at his pupils when he his around you and looking at you! If his pupils dilate, then he probably fancies you! Seriously, it is to do with the sympathetic nervous system and the release of adrenaline into the body from the adrenal gland. The nervous feeling you always get around somone you fancy is caused by this, hence the improved heart rate etc aswell.
Or you could just ask his best mate, he'll know

Maybe he is not shy. Maybe, he likes to keep you wondering. He obviously did something to show you he fancied you. Maybe, thats his way of admitting it. Sounds like you may be a little shy without wanting to directly ask him.

Don't ask him! Just get talking about things you both like. Music, films, tv and such. Do you want to go out with him?
