So today I woke up with this really bad eye irritation, it feels like I have a piece of something in my eye and I feel it specially when i blink. Anyways, this might be a dumb question but where should I go..my family doctor? or my eye doctor? (I go to pearlevision)

Call the Eye doctor and tell them it is an emergency. A child in my class went through this and the rinsing and poking at the E.R. made things much worse. By the time he was seen by an ophthalmologist he had several scratches on the lens of his eye and was forced to wear an eye patch for several weeks. The kicker is that according to his ophthalmologist, with proper treatment he would have been fine in a day or two.

I would go to the eye doctor, your optometrist. Your family doctor is knowledge in many areas, but your optometrist specializes in eyes, so I bet they would be the best bet. Now if you cannot see, get someone to help you immediately, and if the optometrist cannot see you today, because usually you have to schedule an appointment go to the E,R., but plan to wait a while, but at least you will be treated today.

same thing happened to me, i thought i had pink eye so i went to the ER and the ER doctor got in touch with an on call eye doc and made me an appointment to see him immediately...it was a blister caused from an infection in the eye and it could have caused blindness...i would see if the ER doc might call an eye doc and get you an appointment ASAP.

Go to a doctor depending on your health plan you may need them to send you to an eye doctor. And pearlvision has eye techs not doctors! A nurse is better then them! They check you for sight not eye disease.
