Yeah he openly admits retiring to not be traded to Tampa. I think it had to do with not being a starter for a crummy team and his pride was ruined. He has had a lot of hardships throughout his career, but getting up'd by a rookie and then being traded from a playoff team to a horrible team did him in.

That is a possibility. Will be interesting to see what develops. Kubiak and Shanahan have a long, and very friendly relationship so I doubt if Kubiak would pull that BS on Shanahan. Now maybe a trade with Houston. I do not see why Plummer wouldn't want the chance to be a starter again in Tampa. Gruden is obviously not happy about Simms performance.

Well tampa isn't that great and he needs to go to a team that has playoff hopes.....I'd keep a watch.......I think he will end up somewhere else ....Im hoping Jacksonville.....They have a good team and they need a good QB....Plus the offensive coordinator was Plummer's ASU Coach when the Sundevils went to the national championship...........Plummer is a fighter.......I would be surprised if this is really a retirement............I think he is just sticking it to coach jackass....and if he is i couldn't be more proud of him......

he can't go to houston. The broncos have the rights to his football career for the next four years(the rest of his contract) if he was to return to football in the next four years he would be a bronco or the broncos would have to release him or trade him. He also added that he doesn't want to be a backup at all. The bucs weren't gonna let him start so he said **** off.

I know he retired to because he wasn't going to be named starter right away for the Bucs but I'm not too sure about him going to Hoston because David Carr has an extended contract there.

I've heard that as a theory but I don't see how that can happen unless the Buccaneers outright release him - which I don't see happening.
