Has anybody else gotten computer viruses from myspace? I have one that I can not get rid of, even took computer to a pro and it reinstalled itself. Last nite another virus attempted to launch on puter, but virus scan caught it. The stubborn one is win32/zglob or something, other was mspace. So am I just unfortunate or is there a proliferation of viruses on myspace?

Actually I do know it is from myspace, opened a friend request thinking I was safe cuz I have a virus scanner and was bombarded with warnings from anti virus saying I had 8 viruses (most were spyware), had Trojans and homepage hijackers and RATS (what the?!!) So even though it could identify them, they had slipped through and infected computer within seconds.

Been told it is a good anti virus (Earthlink) but going to upgrade to Macaffe (I know it's a typo) Clicked on summary of anti virus and it identifies the virus, in a file that can't be found, with "Restore" admidst all the jumble. I'm actually wondering if the 'pro' couldn't remove it, claimed he did so he would get paid, and just ripped me off, bad as if sounds I hope that's the case or else virus is somehow repairing itself. Thanks for all the helpful answers, and those who scoff at my question, just be careful there at myspace cuz I know for a fact it came from there.

Thanks for all the great suggestions; bought mcafee today & it found the virus but can do nothing with it. Did obliterate the spyware guy claimed to have removed. I also looked up the puper virus (or whatever it is) and now know why I kept on getting warnings that my computer was infected with so many viruses, when it was only one all along. Thankfully I knew better than clicking the link to 'fix' the problem. I guess this is a problem I just have to live with; it is rated a low risk infection by mcafee.
