If you want to watch a very interesting movie that goes into this idea in greater depth, I'd recommend checking out "What the bleep do we know" http://www.jonhs.net/freemovies/what_the_bleep_do_we_know.htm. The point of this movie, (which is controversial) is that since we are all essentially made up of the same energy, (this is quantam mechanics) that we can create and alter the physical world with our minds. The water crystals were offered as evidence to support this idea. Many people strongly disagree with this idea, while others think it's absolutely revolutionary. Check out the movie and you decide. Personally I found it very interesting and powerful but there were still some things I was skeptical about.

Very interesting, but distorted! Seriously! The captions are not exact in the focal distance. Meaning, if you notice the majority of the sweet ones are taken in an area with more light. The mean and ugly, are pictures taken at a closer magnification and low light.
Sorry, Cool shots, (no pun intended) but I don't buy it.
I am not saying formations take on different images, good vibes/bad vibes. But those pictures are cheating! Not fair, tried and true study!
